sprinkles, aka freckles

When I was young I heard if you put lemon juice on your freckles, they would eventually fade away. I jumped on the experiment hoping all the brown spots that covered my face would disappear. They didn’t. A disappointed, 7-year-old at the time, I eventually got over it, and now, I embrace them! They’re like sprinkles on my skin, like stars in the sky.
