I used RANDOM.ORG to generate two numbers between one and seven, which was the number of participants.  Results: two and five.  The winners are Ashlee Kinser and Aik!  They each won four postcards with my paintings printed on them.  Here’s what they had to say about writing letters:

Ashlee asked her students to name various ways on communication.  They could only name cell phones for calling and texting!  Another student was working on improving his handwriting skills for his job and questioned when this would even be useful.  “Writing thank you notes!” she said.  Ashlee, thank you for reminding and encouraging your students to write.  Enjoy the postcards!

Aik said, “I love receiving letters, it’s a sign of sincerity.  However, I feel lazy to send my replies. Congratulations, Ashlee and Aik!

Since discovering the HUGE blog community online, I’ve been browsing several blogs each week and am surprised and encouraged by the endless finds of creativity, passion, and inspiration.  One great blog leads me to another and so on.

Today I came across oh, hello friend, a blog started by Danni Hong where you can find posts on design, crafts, and more.  In honor of oh, hello friend’s one year anniversary, Danni is hosting a giveway!  Sixteen shops donated lots of beautiful items, mostly handcrafted, totaling $275!  One very lucky person will win all of these items and two others will win runner up prizes.  She makes it easy to enter by having three entry options and even let’s you enter up to five times.  Click on the image below to see the prizes and find out how you can win them!  Good luck!

One of the things I take time to do at least once a month is sit down, open my address book, grab some stationary, and write letters!  I love receiving snail mail (Doesn’t everybody?), but oddly, I think I love writing to my friends and family even more.  Maybe it’s the satisfaction that it will make them smile, feel encouraged and loved, or that it will arrive in their hands at just the right moment when they need it the most.  An email can be nice, even a phone call, but, to me, a personalized, hand-written note just says a little more.

In honor of my love for letter writing and to encourage you to get your pens moving, I am giving away two sets of four postcards to two lucky winners.  These postcards are no ordinary postcards.  They are prints of my art from the series Inspirations and Face||Story.  Winners will receive four postcards of mixed varieties.
