Who are those little guys and gals? Well, those are my new CHICKENS! Not all of them, but three of them! This weekend, I’m constructing their new home in my backyard. I CAN’T WAIT! I’ll also be finishing up the book editing I’ve been working on for about two weeks now (Yes, I am STILL not done!). Hopefully, it will be a productive and fairly enjoyable weekend.

What are your plans this weekend? It’s Jillian’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), so we’re getting gussied up and going to Nana’s for appetizers and drinks…then meeting the boys for more drinks at Geer Street Garden. Whatever you end up doing, HAVE FUN!

Any travel plans for the weekend? I’m heading to Knoxville with a short stop in Asheville with a few friends. I love weekend trips. They’re short, sweet, and inexpensive, especially if you stay with friends or family. The drive is often one of my favorite parts of a weekend trip. Unlike a flight, you get to see changing scenery all the way to your destination and back. It’s about the journey too ya know – not just the destination! Windows down, music blasting, arms waving, and we’re on our waaayyy!
